If you shed any tears recently for Britney Spears, either over her love life or her short-lived gig as an X Factor judge, you can go ahead and put the Kleenex box down, as reports are slowly confirming the pop star has inked a two-year, $200 million deal to headline Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. There’s no official word from Caesar’s yet, but if the numbers are true, the deal is worth double what Celine Dion signed for in 2010 — Dion signed a $100 million deal for 70 shows over three years.
Industry experts admit her appeal isn’t as vast as previous performers Elton John, Shania Twain and Dion, but she’s expected to rake in $2 million per week. Either way you slice it, that’s a lot of money being tossed around for a nutty pop star who can’t sing anymore. I’m in it for the choreography though, personally.
