Winning the $1.5 billion Powerball prize isn’t actually winning $1.5 billion. First of all, no one is complaining here. A few hundred million is still a game-changer but the actual lump sum, after-tax winnings of the largest Powerball jackpot in history is far from $1.5 billion.
