After seeing more than the usual “beyond thunderdome” type outfits at the Met Gala last night I did some research. Turns out, every gala has a theme and this years was “Fashion in an Age of Technology”, a theme coinciding with the Manus x Machine exhibition currently on display. Explains the excessive metallic elements in lots of the outfits. However, not so much the armor Zayn wore or the ripped jeans of Kanye, but who’s to judge.
