Bevo is back! Texas learned incredible news ahead of the Cotton Bowl against the Ohio State Buckeyes. The iconic live mascot Bevo will attend the game at JerryWorld in Arlington, Texas.
Texas made the news official with a post on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.
“Breaking: the big guy is headed to Arlington,” they posted.
Cheekily, they included a hilarious graphic in the post with the words “FREE” in big, bold lettering.

AT&T Stadium’s dimensions will allow Bevo to patrol the area. Logistical issues at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, where the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl emanates from, prevented him from being on the field.
But fans not only will get to enjoy the fact that they won’t have to travel far to attend this semifinal, but their iconic mascot will be around for the show too.
The Longhorns earned a trip to the College Football Playoff semifinals after defeating Clemson and Arizona State. They defeated the Tigers in Austin in their home playoff game. Then they went on to defeat the rowdy Sun Devils of the Big 12 in a double-overtime thriller. Texas converted a 4th and 13 to stay alive and will trudge on back to the semifinals.
Last year, they lost to the eventual runner-up Washington Huskies. This time around, Texas hopes to defeat Ohio State to earn their first trip to the National Championship since 2009.
