Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders is considered one of the top quarterback prospects in next year’s 2025 NFL Draft. And it sounds like he thinks part of the reason he has been able to thrive at Colorado is due to the offense which he called “very quarterback friendly.”
During a recent press conference, Shedeur Sanders made it clear that he is very happy with the offense under offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, who is a former NFL head coach.
“I feel like the offense is very quarterback friendly,” Sanders said according to On3. “I feel like it’s how I see the game, how I feel out there. If it’s a concept that I don’t like, that I want to adjust, then we can talk about it, or he could say, ‘Okay, I like it, this is the reason why.’ So it’s always a reason why, and I feel like I told him, even this morning, we got up here at like 6:30 a.m. and we just had a meeting, just talking about, I told him my biggest goal this year is not to keep us in like, bad plays.
“So it’s like, to understand what each and every play doesn’t work right for, and get us in the right play. So it’s really just trying to take my game, and make the team, just take it to the next level, to where we’re always just going to be one step ahead.”
Sanders has put up big numbers at Colorado so far. We’ll have to see if that continues next season.
