Ohio State will have a new president this upcoming football season after the university brought in Ted Carter a few months ago. And it sounds like the new president is already a fan of head football coach Ryan Day.
During a recent interview on the Eleven Warriors podcast Real Pod Wednesdays, Ted Carter made it clear that he is “very impressed” with Ohio State head coach Ryan Day.
“I’ve gotten to know Ryan very well. We’ve spent some time together, some one-on-one time together,” Carter told Eleven Warriors. “We’ve been at Big Ten meetings together, we’ve been on an airplane together. We’ve had a lot of time to talk. And I’m very impressed with him. I’ve been impressed with what he’s doing within the leadership programs within football. I’ve been impressed with the coaching hires he’s made this offseason. He’s recruiting well.”
The Buckeyes are expected to have one of the most talented teams in college football this season, and it sounds like Carter will be following along anxiously to see how the team performs.
“Obviously, I’m watching and I’m paying attention like everybody else,” Carter said. “I have high expectations this year. The bottom line is, I’m really impressed with Ryan Day.”
