Five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith signed with the Ohio State Buckeyes as the highest-rated player in the 2024 high school recruiting class. And after enrolling at Ohio State early this winter, it sounds like he’s already turning heads during offseasons workouts.
This week, Ohio State Buckeyes’ new quarterback Will Howard, who transferred into the program from Kansas State earlier this month, has already been impressed by the five-star wide receiver during team workouts calling him “a freak show” and “a specimen.”
“He’s a dude, man,” Howard said of Jeremiah Smith in a video shared by The Lantern. “I haven’t gotten to talk to him that much yet just because we’ve just been in different groups lifting and stuff. But man, he’s a specimen. I mean, that dude is a freak show. Physical. I’m excited to see him out on the field in live action. It will be fun.”
Will Howard had high praise for the WR room, especially incoming freshman Jeremiah Smith:

Obviously, Howard hasn’t had a chance to see what Smith can do during live reps as the team is not yet able to practice, they’re just undergoing team workouts during the offseason. But it’s clear that he will be excited to start throwing to the young star when spring practice begins in a few weeks.
