Ohio State Buckeyes superstar wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has been one of the most electric and dominant receivers in the country over the past two seasons, and he’s been rightfully recognized as a result.
On Thursday morning, Marvin Harrison Jr. was named a first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association. This was a noteworthy All-American honor because it means that Harrison is now a unanimous All-American as he’s also been named a first-team All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation, Associated Press, FWAA, and Sporting News.
It’s quite an accomplishment, but it’s actually even more impressive because this actually marks the second time that Harrison has earned unanimous All-American honors as he was also a unanimous All-American last season.
Harrison becomes just the fifth player in Ohio State history to be named a unanimous All-American twice, joining Buckeye legends Orlando Pace (1995-96), running back Archie Griffin (1974-75), fullback Bob Ferguson (1960-61) and running back Howard “Hopalong” Cassady (1954-55) in earning the prestigious honor.
It’s a pretty rare feat for Harrison, and the college football world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.

Alot of dawgs to come out of THE Ohio State University, huge achievement. Marvin Harrison Jr. cemented himself as an Ohio State legend, if he decides to go be a lottery pick in the NFL draft; I wouldnt blame him. On the other side, if he decides to come back, Look AHT. https://t.co/567sg5Cj6X

Marvin Harrison Jr. is now a two-time unanimous All-American. The only other Buckeyes ever to do that? Hopalong Cassidy, Archie Griffin, Orlando Pace and Troy High School graduate Bob Ferguson. pic.twitter.com/BhuliTHwUE

Harrison has not yet decided whether or not he will enter the NFL Draft. If he does decide to enter the draft, he would likely be a top-five pick.
