According to a report from KUTV2, multiple people were hospitalized as a result of the accident, but it’s not clear how many people were injured or the extent of those injuries.
“[Spokesperson Janna-Lee Holland with the Provo Police Department] said fireworks shot into the stands and injured multiple people. The exact number and severity of injuries was not available,” Â Jared Turner of KUTV2 wrote.
“Video from the scene showed at least two fireworks shoot into the performers on the field, and another two shoot into the east stands where several people were watching.”
Obviously, it was a terrifying situation. Hopefully, everyone recovers from their injuries.
