Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has certainly taken a controversial approach to leading his team in recent years, earning himself some unsavory headlines for the way he has pushed players out of the program and replaced them with other players from the transfer portal. But it seems like a recent move caused a lot of problems amongst the players.
Shedeur Sanders, the son of Deion Sanders, is currently the starting quarterback for the Buffaloes. He also is trying to begin a career as a rapper. And it seems that his father earned some outrage from his players by forcing them to support his rap career.
According to a report from Athlon Sports, Deion Sanders forced his team to attend a Lil Wayne concert in support of Shedeur Sanders. And according to the report, the players were so furious about it that it was the “final straw” for a few players who ultimately left the team and entered the transfer portal.
“The Wayne concert was the final straw for a few players who hit the transfer portal,” a source told Athlon Sports. “When Coach Prime told us we all had to be there to support Shedeur as a rapper, they were not happy at all. To be honest, it was nothing but a huge distraction and Daddy Ball was being played.”
It sounds like things aren’t going great in Colorado.
