The UCLA Bruins dumped Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes, 28-16, on Saturday.
Sanders made headlines in the offseason when he arrived in Boulder and told the current team to hit the portal if they didn’t want to do this his way. It appears losing the fourth game of the season has put him back in that mood, too.
Sanders stressed that he would “go get new linemen” after his offensive line struggled against the Bruins.
“The big picture, you go get new linemen,” Sanders said after what he called “a butt-kicking,” according to USA Today. “That’s the picture, and I’m gonna paint it perfectly.”
Sanders said that he was still proud of his son, Shedeur, for how he played throughout the contest despite the struggles of the men in front of him charged with protecting the quarterback.
“I’m a little biased because I’m his father, but I think we have the best quarterback in the country,” Deion Sanders said. “I don’t think any other quarterback can put up with, stand and deliver like ours do, week in and week out and take in the beating that he’s taken. We’ve got to address that.”
The Buffaloes are next in action on Saturday when they host the Oregon State Beavers.
