Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes were one of the feel-good stories of the season until Week 3 when the Oregon Ducks threw them in a wood chipper in front of a nationally televised audience.
For a lot of people, Sanders and the Buffaloes had a humbling coming with the way they carried themselves. In a video released by Oregon earlier this week, several Buffaloes players—including Sanders’ son, Shiloh, were seen talking trash to Oregon players, coaches and event staff.

Sanders is a coach who wears his faith on his sleeve. He is quick to wear a gold cross necklace and thank God at the podium.
However, according to at least one columnist, the Buffaloes fell short of Sanders’ Christian faith will how they behaved at Oregon.
“I have zero doubt that Deion Sanders is a man of deep and abiding faith, and it’s not anyone’s place to question that,” wrote Breitbart columnist Dylan Gwynn. “However, the fact of the matter is he can say “God bless you” to as many reporters as he wants to. He can wear the most enormous golden cross he can find on the outside of his shirt all he wants, but at the end of the day, the message rings hollow if that same Christian message is not reflected in the character and behavior of your players.
Plain and simple.”
Harsh words for a harsh result.
Colorado will get a chance to redeem themselves on Saturday when they host the No. 8 USC Trojans in Boulder.
