Earlier this month, the Florida State Seminoles announced their intent to leave the ACC and challenge the conference’s Grant of Rights in court. It’s a big move, as it could open the door for other ACC teams to do the same if Florida State is successful, like the Clemson Tigers.

This week, Dabo Swinney was asked for his reaction to Florida State suing the ACC in an attempt to leave the conference. And while he didn’t offer all that much thought on it, it is clear that he and Clemson will be watching to see what happens.

“What was my reaction? What was my reaction? I don’t think I really had a reaction,” Swinney said with a smile according to On3. “It wasn’t like a, Wow. I didn’t really have a reaction other than just, Okay, all right, let’s see what happens.

“I don’t know. Just like everybody else. Read the article, one of the articles, and just informed myself. I didn’t really have a reaction. Went to practice.”

At some point, it’s likely that the ruling in the case between Florida State and the ACC will affect Clemson in some way. But until then, Swinney isn’t necessarily worrying about it.
