Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Cardale Jones had a legendary run with the Buckeyes at the end of the 2014 college football season as he took over for injured J.T. Barrett and led the team to wins over Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon to win the first-ever College Football Playoff national title. And now, he’s using his platform to call out current United States President Joe Biden.
In a post on social media this week, Cardale Jones called out Joe Biden for his “mental state” heading into the 2024 presidential election against likely Republican nominee Donald Trump.
“This isn’t a political statement at all but idk about everyone else but I am genuinely worried about Joe Biden. His mental state is far from ‘ok’. It’s scary watching him speak, interact and even walk…..” Jones said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

After his prolific three-game stretch to lead the Buckeyes to a national title, Jones returned to Ohio State the next season and earned the starting quarterback job to begin the season, but he was replaced by J.T. Barrett midway through the season.
Jones was selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills and spent one season with the team before he was traded to the Los Angeles Chargers and eventually signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2019.
Jones has not played in the NFL since the 2019 season.
