The Penn State Nittany Lions learned that star quarterback Drew Allar would return for 2025. Consequently, their star backup quarterback had a decision to make. He’s made it.
Quarterback Beau Pribula, who saw some action this year for Penn State, will bolt the Big Ten for the Southeastern Conference.
The Missouri Tigers landed a commitment from the talented quarterback. Mizzou will need to replace Brady Cook after his collegiate career ends later this month, and now they have their contingency plan.
“Penn State QB transfer Beau Pribula has committed to Missouri,” Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports/CBS Sports reported on Sunday evening.

Big get for Eli Drinkwitz and Mizzou. Pribula had ranked as one of the top uncommitted QBs in the transfer portal.https://t.co/eC74K0imzE pic.twitter.com/556Gl7XuSw

Pribula made the decision to transfer shortly after Allar’s decision to stay. Those decisions came on the heels of the Nittany Lions’ Big Ten Championship loss to Oregon. The Ducks won 45-37 to win the Big Ten in their first season in the conference.
Allar will surely lead Penn State to another preseason Top 10 ranking and potentially much more this year and next. For Pribula, a new scene will give him the opportunity to prove himself.
The talented quarterback showed a lot of promise this season. For Mizzou, a team hoping to make noise again in 2025, landing Pribula was a priority. Or at least a player of his caliber. After missing out on Miller Moss, who went to Lousiville, head coach Eli Drinkwitz pulled off a big move to say the least.
Time will tell to see how Pribula fairs in Columbia. For now, that’s another quarterback off the board.
