Arch Manning Syndication: Austin American-Statesman

In July, EA Sports will release its long-awaited college football game, marking the first college football video game produced in over a decade. While this version of the game will feature real players and names for the first time in history, there will be one player notably missing from the Texas Longhorns roster: quarterback Arch Manning.

According to a report from Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods.com, Arch Manning has decided not to opt into the EA Sports College Football 25 video game.

“Multiple people have told me Texas redshirt [freshman] quarterback Arch Manning will not opt into EA Sports College Football 25. I’m told Arch is focused on playing football on the field,” Richardson said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

This obviously means that Manning will not appear in the game – a pretty shocking decision considering that EA Sports had announced that more than 10,000 players had already opted into the game as of Monday. It’s also odd that he seems to think this is related to his on-field performance.

Obviously, this shocking and strange decision from Manning led to a lot of reactions on social media.

The good news for Longhorns fans is that EA Sports has already confirmed that Texas starting quarterback Quinn Ewers will be in the game.
