The Penn State football program and its fans learned of spectacular news on Thursday. A former Nittany Lions great will see his namesake live on in the famed blue and white. LaVar Arrington II, the son of the former Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, committed to the PSU program.
On3 Recruits posted of Arrington’s commitment on Thursday afternoon.
Arrington is in the Class of 2025, meaning we’ll see him in State College next fall.

When he attended, LaVar Arrington was simply a menace. Playing at “Linebacker U,” Arrington earned All-American honors, the Bednarik Award, Butkus Award, and Lambert Trophy. To say he was accomplished would be putting it very mildly.
Penn State fans celebrated the commitment news on the Fourth of July.
LaVar Arrington’s kid is older than I was when I first heard about his pops in 1999.
Now pardon me while I stretch some more and straighten these glasses. https://t.co/79Vjz2bPO7
