Lamar Jackson is one of the most successful quarterbacks in the NFL today. The two-time NFL MVP is just 27 years old and has checked off nearly every box there is to check. Outside of winning a Lombardi Trophy, of course. Still, there are some detractors out there. Namely Mark Schlereth, who had some strong criticism for Jackson and to Ravens fans.
On his Stinkin’ Truth podcast, Schlereth attacked Ravens fans. The former Super Bowl Champion apparently feels the Ravens’ complaints about Jackson’s supporting cast are ridiculous because he’s tired of hearing them.
“I do not want to hear it from all of you out there who are telling me Lamar Jackson—Well, they don’t get him many weapons,” Schlereth said on the Stinkin’ Truth podcast. How many first-round wide receivers do they have to draft? Well, they’re not drafting the right one. Well, you’re not developing them,” Schlereth argued.

Schlereth’s criticism continued as he took aim at the star quarterback and his apparent lacking in making the guys around him.
“Well how do you develop them? Well, your quarterback has a long way to go in developing wide receivers. So I don’t want to hear that bull—- from you anymore,” Schlereth said emphatically.
Many heard what Schlereth had to say and, well, let’s just say many did not agree with Schlereth’s assessment of the situation.
One of my favorite bits in football is when someone talks about draft position and name recognition… instead of whether the players are any good https://t.co/yvZtVIKXX6

The Chiefs drafted Mecole Hardman and Skyy Moore in the second round and traded for former first-round pick Kadarius Toney.
How come Patrick Mahomes isn’t developing them?!!?? https://t.co/nwbZgDKbMF

A qb having to develop his wide receiver is by far. One of the stupidest football arguments I’ve ever heard in my life. https://t.co/h3NTiT41jH

Here are all the WR drafted in the first three rounds by the Ravens in franchise history. They have a combined two Pro Bowl appearances… at kick returner.
Developing WR talent has been a problem in Baltimore long before Lamar was drafted. https://t.co/SOrTdbyj5f pic.twitter.com/kHRWweY9z4
