Jordan Love accomplished a lot in his first season under center in Green Bay. But the biggest thing the Packers quarterback might have done last year was increase his worth.
Love showed out in his first season as the Packers’ starting quarterback. He threw for over 4,100 passing yards and 30+ touchdowns in his first season as a starter. After his performance, Love feels he’s due a new contract. Others would probably agree.
So it is no surprise that Love won’t practice again until he gets a new deal. Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst delivered that news to reporters on Monday morning
“Jordan Love will not practice until he has a new deal, Brian Gutekunst says. Love’s camp informed Packers of that decision Saturday,” Schneidman wrote.

Gutekunst says a deal could get done in the coming days, but you never know. Says big deals take time.

Love’s decision didn’t register as a surprise to many who learned the news on Monday. If you read the tea leaves, it doesn’t sound like he’s gonna have to wait very long for a new contract either.

Pads don’t go on until 4-5 days into camp. I just take this to mean Jordan’s getting paid this week. https://t.co/VzEFFcVpFZ
