One of the most significant moves of the NFL offseason saw Saquon Barkley slide down I-95 to the Philadelphia Eagles. The former New York Giants star angered some fans along the way. Eagles star Brandon Graham spoke about his new teammate and the way he left his old team this week and offered some interesting comments.
Fascinatingly, Graham voiced an understanding over Giants fans and their resentment of the move Barkley made this offseason.
“It sucked for the Giants fans because that’s like us losing our top guy,” Graham said via the New York Post. The Post cited Graham’s quotes from the St. Jude Big Daddy Celebrity Golf Classic and Gala at the Cold Spring Harbor Country Club out on Long Island, New York.
Graham, an Eagle since arriving in the NFL in 2010, continued discussing what this means for Barkley and the Eagles going forward and how that move will impact future matchups against the Giants.
“That’s gonna be like how, you know how [Terrell Owens] went to Dallas and got booed?’’ Graham said via the Post. “It’s going to be one of those things. I know with [Barkley] he probably didn’t want to have to make that decision. We’re loving it because we definitely got a good player.
“Great dude, too. Just can’t wait to see what he does this year.”
The first Eagles-Giants game could prove to be very interesting.
