The sports world has been buzzing over a major NBA trade. On Saturday night, the Sacramento Kings acquired six-time All-Star DeMar DeRozan as part of a three-team trade.

The Kings acquired DeRozan via a sign-and-trade, as the deal went through with the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs as the other trade partners. Chris Duarte and Harrison Barnes were also involved in the trade.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news on the trade Saturday night.

The biggest piece moving is the six-time All-Star DeRozan. He will head to the west coast for the first time in his pro career (he, of course, is an LA native who attended USC). He appeared in two All-Star Games as a Bull and last season finished second in Clutch Player of the Year voting. He’s been a 20+ PPG scorer for most of his career, and should provide a boost on offense for the Kings.

The sports world had much to say over this major deal out of the NBA.
