Caitlin Clark tends to bring out a lot in people. But fortunately for the sports world, the reason people have been talking about Caitlin Clark this week is at least much more moderate.
The busy Clark got mentioned by someone who many may not have expected. WWE superstar Bianca Belair made headlines when she decided to extend an invitation to the basketball superstar for the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble event next year.
The Rumble will occur in Indianapolis, of course, at Lucas Oil Stadium. Which made all the mentioning make sense.
Via ComicBook.com, Belair had pleasant words to say about the WNBA and how they’ve been so successful this year. She compared the WNBA to WWE, where women have main-evented their weekly television shows frequently and their Premium Live Events, including WrestleMania. Then, she extended the invite to Clark.
“It would be really cool for the two worlds to combine and have an even bigger impact for women. Caitlin Clark, if you’re watching, come on. Join, come to the Royal Rumble,” Belair said.
The Royal Rumble is one of the most exciting wrestling events of the year, so Clark appearing would create quite a buzz. It’s the event that begins their road to WrestleMania, so a lot of eyes will be on it. It only would make sense if they could make it happen, but so far, no response from Clark.
That said, many had a lot to say about the potential sight of Caitlin Clark in a wrestling ring.
That would be cool https://t.co/xbYQERochF

I’m giving Bianca a benefit of the doubt. She wants to invite Caitlyn Clark to the Royal Rumble 2025 to KOD her https://t.co/or5Lde3VFc

Caitlin Clark from the top ropes in 2025 Royal Rumble? You never know.
If WWE can do this right, you have Angel Reese come out and be the villain that eliminates CC. Social Media would melt if that happened. https://t.co/OJCay4xsbH
