The Alabama Crimson Tide received great news this weekend. Five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood decided to commit to Alabama, giving the Crimson Tide yet another blue-chip recruit.
Haywood announced his commitment with a post on X over the weekend.
“I am 1000% COMMITTED to Alabama,” Haywood announced.

Haywood joins an elite class in Tuscaloosa, which ranks second in the nation in the 247Sports 2025 Composite Team Rankings. Even after Nick Saban retired, elite talent remains a fixture for the Tide.
Haywood is the fourth five-star recruit of the class, which figures to put Alabama in a position to continue contending for National Championships for years to come. On3’s recruiting rankings gives the Tide five five-stars now after Haywood’s commitment. New head coach Kalen DeBoer doesn’t seem to have any issues right now in keeping a well-rounded operation going.
The college football world had much to say about the terrific news for the Crimson Tide.
