If you haven’t heard already this is the Pittsburgh Pirates first time in the postseason since their 1992 campaign. Pirates-mania has swept Pittsburgh with the hope of winning the World Series. It’s this kind of success and excitement that garners the interest of young people and will make them a Pittsburgh fan for life, or until the next quarter century dry spell where the Pirates perennially suck. Here’s how much the Pirates-apalooza has compelled the youngsters to jump on the Bucco bandwagon.

Usually if a kid is wearing a Pirates jersey he is brought to the hospital to see if they’ve suffered a brain injury, but these adorable newborns are wearing Pirates gear on purpose. Starting on Wednesday and running through the end of the Pirates’ postseason run, St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh will dress newborns with Pirates swag. These “Bucco Babies” are so cute when they don’t realize that they just signed up for a lifetime of baseball misery.
