Carlos Gomez launched a home run off of Paul Maholm during the first inning of the Brewers and Braves game on Wednesday, and the stroll around the bases got a bit weird. Gomez hit the home run and it looked like he stared at it a bit too long for Braves’ catcher Brian McCann’s liking. The jawing continued as Gomez rounded the bases and eventually he came face to face with Brian McCann before he could touch home base. The two stood toe to toe, and the benches each poured out on the field as the two teams engaged in some extracurricular activity. Not a pretty scene at all.
