USC looked absolutely horrible yesterday against the Washington State Cougars losing 10-7, in what proved to be one of the biggest upsets in week 2 of the college football season. After a decent start in Hawaii, USC came into the contest scared to throw the football and in disarray on defense; in front of a fan base that was optimistic regarding 2013’s campaign. The Trojan faithful were left in a disheartening spot. Last night’s debacle proved sadly, that things aren’t going to get any easier, while discerning QB play and a lack of inspiration on either side of the football, have doomed the Trojans early in 2013. To be honest, this loss came as a huge shock and as a fan I never expected the Trojans to have such a huge meltdown so early. I knew it would come later, but right now? The bottom line: USC isn’t what they used to be in their glory days and they are in for a long road, while the defense is once again proving to be suspect and the offense is struggling to get their talented group of receivers the football. Our outlook: The schedule doesn’t get much easier and at this rate every contest from here on out will be a challenge. Kiffin better get it together or he will be gone!
Through two games Wittek and Kessler have combined to go 26/50, 226 YDS, 1 TD and 3 INT
