The Tampa Bay Rays bullpen ball boy, who goes by the name of R.J., had a couple costly misplays during last night’s Rays-Diamondbacks game. One of those misses got by R.J. and wound up striking a Rays pitcher in the face, causing the rest of the bullpen to be on high alert for the rest of the game.
But the kid was able to redeem himself later in the game when he made a nice snag on a liner in the direction of the bullpen, much to the delight of the Rays relievers. He got some daps and was even interviewed by the Rays’ TV broadcast following his web gem.
