Juventus Defender Martin Caceres was involved in a horrific car accident that left his head and face battered and bloody.
Following Juventus’ 2-0 win over Bologna last Saturday, Caceres was driving his Porsche Cayenne when he collided with another car that ran a red light. The Uruguayan international was rushed to the hospital with a “lacerated contusion wound to his scalp and right cheekbone.” Pretty lucky considering how bad the damage was.
Juventus published this statement on their website the Sunday after the accident:
Martin Caceres has been discharged from Turin’s CTO medical centre after being involved in a road accident in the early hours of Sunday morning. The Uruguayan has been moved to the Clinica Fornaca di Sessant and was visited earlier by Dr.Bennech and plastic surgeon Dr. Marco Fraccalvieri.
He is in a good condition and will spend the next couple of days undergoing treatment and necessary tests at the clinic.
The images of the car crash and Caceres’ injuries can be seen below.
