The Chicago Bulls finished the 1996-97 regular season with a 69-13 record–just three games shy of the 72-game record–and defeated the Utah Jazz to bring home their fifth NBA Championship in seven years. Michael Jordan was named the Finals MVP after hitting one of the most iconic shots of his career. Needless to say, it was a great year for the Bulls and one that fans will never forget.
Thanks to eBay user JCJCM, one lucky person will get to own a piece of that history from Michael Jordan’s glory days. JCJCM has listed an autographed Air Jordan XII shoe with twelve of the fifteen players’s signatures from the ’96-’97 roster, including coach Phil Jackson. The shoe is in the rare White and Red colorway and one that memorabilia collectors and sneakerheads alike will be dying to get their hands on.
The starting bid for the shoe is currently listed at $18,200, with the option to immediately purchase for $20,000. We can imagine that this shoe will be scooped up by a memorabilia collector sooner rather than later, as you don’t come across something this rare (or in this good of condition) very often.
