An eighth grade football prodigy from Louisiana received some unexpected news over the weekend during a visit to Tuscaloosa. Alabama head coach Nick Saban offered 2017 recruit Dylan Moses his second big-time scholarship before he even hits high school.
The 6’1″ 215-pound do-it-all athlete from Baton Rouge was invited to Bama for a tour of the facilities and stroll around campus, but Saban figured he had to keep up with SEC rival LSU and Les Miles. Miles offered Moses a scholarship last summer after seeing the phenom put on an inhumane performance during the Tigers’ camp in July.
“For Dylan, excitement spilled over,” Dylan’s father Edward Moses Jr. said regarding his son’s second offer. “When he heard those words from Coach [Nick] Saban, ‘We’re offering you,’ you could see him light up. It was shocking because we were going in thinking we were just going to get a tour of what Alabama has to offer.
