Michael Phelps took his talents to Ed Smith Stadium today as the Olympian swimmer tried his hand at America’s pastime. Phelps went to the batting cages to see how he would fare at the plate, and he didn’t exactly turn any heads. He especially didn’t impress O’s manager Buck Showalter who when asked about Phelps’ performance responded by saying, “I haven’t been in a pool for 30 years, but I’m not drowning.”
We think it is safe to say that Phelps and his 18 gold medals made the right choice of sport.
