Australian Jackson Strong participated in the Winter X Games best trick competition on Sunday night and things went wrong unexpectedly. Jackson was attempting a back-flip and lost track of the snowmobile in mid-air. Strong crashed to the ground next to his snowmobile, which landed right side up and continued to accelerate quickly towards a group of fans standing behind a fence. The snowmobile was stopped for the most part by the fence and could have caused some serious damage if not.
According to the USA Today:
Jeremy Bester, of Prior Lake, Minn., was near the fence when the snowmobile crashed through it. He threw his 11-year-old son, Riley, out of the way.
It is unclear whether the spectator was hit by the snowmobile or not.
