I am not one to answer my cell phone if I don’t know who is calling. If your number comes through as “UNKNOWN” or blocked or even with a name I don’t recognize, you are going to get my voicemail. I figure if it’s important the caller will leave me a message identifying his/herself and we can move forward.
On Sunday afternoon I received a call from someone named “Pamela”. Not knowing who it was, I ignored it. “Pamela” called right back, and I ignored that one as well. Luckily, “Pamela” decided to text me. Naturally, I decided to have a little fun.
WARNING: There is some not-very-nice language in here, but I did no editing aside from blanking out the number in order to preserve the artistic integrity.
It started here, with this delightful little exchange:
So now we’ve established that “Pamela” seems to use a variant of the English language that I am unaccustomed to. I tried to get out of it in the beginning but she wouldn’t take no for an answer. The conversation then moved on:
Ah-ha! “Pamela” is actually “T-Bhake”. Keep in mind that T-Bhake would call every five minutes or so during this entire exchange. It also appears that T-Bhake is not a fan of “The Office”, having fallen for the classic “updog” joke.
T-Bhake isn’t terribly PC is he? I was a bit saddened that he didn’t give me the opportunity to finish my “deez nuts” joke, but I think his apparent homophobia was enough to end the conversation there. Of course, he continued to call throughout the afternoon, but we never spoke.
