Detroit Fox 2’s Charlie Leduff, who has won a Pulitzer Prize, recently finished golfing the length of the city of Detroit from 8 Mile Road to Belle Isle. The writer fought through the 100 degree heat in a attempt to learn more about the city and its citizens. What he discovers is not exactly promising and culminates in the realization that the citizens are stranded on an island with little or no city services. You have to give it to Charlie for shedding light on a City’s issues in a manner which is much easier to connect with the masses, rather than another depressing news report at 10pm.
