After the New York Jets officially hired Aaron Glenn as their next head coach, fans naturally questioned whether Glenn would be in favor of bringing Aaron Rodgers back into the fold.
The answer to that question is still unclear. But on Monday, Glenn did offer some insight into when that decision could potentially come.
‘I plan to go meet with Aaron Rodgers and we’ll definitely come up with a decision much sooner than later. I don’t wanna drag this out,” Glenn told Fox’s Jay Glazer, who reported this prior to Sunday’s NFC Championship Game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders.

Glenn also addressed this topic in his introductory press conference on Monday, detailing that no matter how long it takes for him to come to a decision, it will be “the right answer”.
“I can’t tell you how long this process will be, but we’ll get the right answer,” Glenn said via Pro Football Talk.
The popular theory thus far has been that Glenn wouldn’t be in favor of bringing back Rodgers. After all, most coaches like to bring in their own guys to begin a head coaching tenure.
Keeping a 41 year old Aaron Rodgers around would essentially mean that Glenn believes that Rodgers still has enough in the tank to bring them to the promised land next season.
Otherwise, it wouldn’t make much sense to leverage the future of the organization by keeping Rodgers.
Whatever decision Glenn makes will be the first big decision of his tenure in New York. So for his sake, making the correct decision certainly looms large as to how his time in New York will be perceived.
