The Green Bay Packers have managed to clinch a spot in the playoffs despite being in the most loaded division in the NFL. Unfortunately, making a deep playoff run will be harder than the Packers anticipated.
According to one prominent NFL insider, Green Bay will be without one of its most important stars in the playoffs.
“Packers star CB Jaire Alexander, who has been dealing with a PCL tear and hasn’t played since Nov. 17, is likely out for the season, per coach Matt LaFleur. He’s set for surgery,” reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“everyone saying ‘huge loss’ but he has hardly played since week 4 so this doesn’t feel any different than it’s been. he’s missed 22 of the last 42 games, if he’s not healthy in the 2025 season then they gotta figure out how to replace him,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Everybody is crying as if he was the whole team… simmer down,” one fan added.
“Guess Packer fans can get off his case now. And if you cut him he coming right to Detroit!” added a Lions fan.
“People were saying he’s a bum and that he’s dodging. The guy tried to come back despite the PCL injury multiple times,” another fan added.
“Incoming vikings fans celebrating injuries yet again,” added someone else.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Packers respond without such a critical piece of their secondary.
