The Cincinnati Bengals are one of the most disappointing teams in recent memory.

The Bengals entered the season expecting to be one of the only teams in the AFC capable of challenging the Kansas City Chiefs. Instead, the Chiefs are 4-6 after losing to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. While normally 4-6 would be a salvageable record, one NFL insider did some digging that paints a bleak picture for Cincinnati moving forward.

The (Bengals) four wins this season are against the 2-7 Panthers, 2-7 Giants, 2-7 Browns and 2-7 Raiders,” revealed Ari Meirov after the Bengals’ loss on Thursday.

Fans reacted to the news that the Bengals appear only capable of beating teams without a pulse.

“Their defense is atrocious that’s why they can’t win big games,” one fan said on Twitter.

“And all their losses by one score. Patriots loss – refs determine after the game Gesickis TD catch should have counted Chiefs- lose by 5, refs bailed chiefs out on a 4th and 26 Commanders- missed field goal, missed PI call on 2pt conversion, lost by exactly 5 Ravens – lost by 3 in OT lost by 1 on 2pt conversion to win, Refs miss two easy penalties. Eagles- they just beat our butts. Refs lost us 3 of those games,” added one excuse-maker.

“Joe burrow is a fraud,” one fan observed.

“Time to shut down the season ig,” said one fan.

“I dont understand why teams go for two it’s so risky. Just kick the pat play defense and go to overtime,” one fan said, acknowledging the team’s costly decision on Thursday.

It’ll be interesting to see if star receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins elect to opt-out until they get contract extensions now that the playoffs look unlikely.
