Alabama Crimson Tide defensive lineman Jehiem Oatis has decided to leave the team after he was reportedly unhappy with the playing time he received. And one Alabama staffer is not happy about it.
Alabama Crimson Tide director of player development Ha Ha Clinton-Dix seemed to take issue with Oatis’ decision to redshirt this season and enter the transfer portal.
While Clinton-Dix did not call him out by name, he made it pretty clear who he was talking about.

“Players are opting out to redshirt a year because they didn’t get playing time? What about creating good habits and working on your craft? Just quit. No more reps at practice no more routines? Just go into the portal rusty? Got it,” Clinton-Dix said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
Clinton-Dix went on to claim that he was more concerned about what the transfer portal was doing to the players than how it impacted the team.
“It’s not that it’s ruining college football but it’s hurting our youth who need these times to face adversity, develop good habits and character as young men so success carries over into the next chapter of life,” Clinton-Dix wrote in a follow-up post.
Clinton-Dix is not just an Alabama staffer, he is also a former star player for the Crimson Tide who went on to have an NFL career with the Green Bay Packers.
Clearly, he is not happy with how college football has changed.
