This week, Indiana Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark sparked a lot of reactions when she “liked” a social media post from Taylor Swift in which the pop sensation publicly endorsed Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election. But despite the decision to like the post, she was not willing to publicly endorse Harris.

During her press conference ahead of Wednesday night’s game between the Indiana Fever and the Las Vegas Aces, Caitlin Clark was asked whether or not she would be willing to publicly endorse Kamala Harris in the election. Clark chose not to proclaim her support for either candidate.

Instead, Clark simply urged everyone to do their research and vote.

“I think for myself, I have this amazing platform so I think the biggest thing would be just to encourage people to register to vote,” Clark said. “I think for myself, this is the second time I can vote in an election at age 22 – I could vote when I was 18. I think do that – that’s the biggest thing I can do with the platform I have, and it’s the same thing Taylor [Swift] did.

“Continue to educate yourself with the candidates that we have and the policies that they are supporting. I think that’s the biggest thing you can do and that’s what I would recommend to every single person that has that opportunity in this country.”

It’s a pretty notable move for Clark to choose not to endorse either candidate, and she was largely praised for the move on social media.

Clearly, fans seem to think this is a classy approach from the WNBA superstar.
