Over the last two years, the Miami Dolphins have had among the best offenses in all of football, which has helped the organization reach the postseason each of the last two years under head coach Mike McDaniel. And on Friday, the organization decided to reward McDaniel for all of the positive growth the organization has had under his watch.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, the Dolphins and McDaniel have agreed to a contract extension that will keep McDaniel in Miami through the 2028 NFL season.

McDaniel has always been a sought-after commodity in the NFL as a play-caller. But it seems like the Dolphins are now fully sold that he will be the coach that ultimately gets the organization to the next level.
Obviously, there is still plenty of room for the team to grow. While the team has made the postseason each of the last two years, they have yet to make it past the Wild Card round of the postseason.
Regardless, the organization is clearly on the right track under McDaniel to take the next step and be a true contender in the AFC this coming season.
