The Colorado Buffaloes came away with a hard-fought victory on Thursday night as they held off the North Dakota State Bison to pull out a 31-26 victory. And two-way superstar Travis Hunter was pleased with the result.
After the game, Travis Hunter spoke to Scott Van Pelt on ESPN where he gave his initial reaction to the season-opening win.
“It gave us a lot of hope,” Hunter said according to On3. “We know we’ve got to keep going in, keep watching film. It got the guys to know that we’ve got a good team right here. We’ve got to get the plan, we’ve got to get our eyes in the right spot. That’s how they got a lot of touchdowns tonight. We didn’t have our eyes in the right spot, we didn’t read our keys.
“So we know we’ve got to get back in there and go to work. Coach is probably not finna let us off tomorrow. We’re finna come in here and work.”
Colorado gets its first win of the season and starts off the year on a positive note as they look to bounce back from a disappointing season last year. We’ll have to see how the team fares this year.
