The Arizona Cardinals have undergone some pretty significant changes in recent years, and it sounds like one prominent veteran player is quite happy about it.
With General Manager Monti Ossenfort and head coach Jonathan Gannon taking over ahead of the 2022 season, the team has undergone several roster changes. And during an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show last month, Arizona Cardinals veteran running back James Conner expressed his satisfaction at the changes while absolutely blasting some of his former teammates.
“We cleansed the roster,” Conner told Eisen on the show according to Pro Football Talk. “Guys who weren’t serious about football, guys who were not in it for the right reasons, guys who don’t put the team first — we slowly weeded that stuff out. That’s what it takes. First we cleanse and then now we’re ready to attack.”
Needless to say, these comments from Conner led to a lot of reactions on social media.
I can’t say I like James Conner but I love his story so I’ll save my thoughts on this lol https://t.co/fyI3GxaOVX

If this is true then why is Kyler still there?

Getting rid or Ertz and keeping Kyler says otherwise 🤣

He talking bout Hollywood?

It’s not clear who Conner is specifically talking about with these comments – though some speculate he’s referring to wide receiver Hollywood Bronw. Regardless, it is clear that he is quite happy with the direction of the team after some of the recent changes.
We’ll have to see how he and the Cardinals are able to perform this season.
