Tragic details of NFL player’s death revealed

As the NFL world continues to mourn the death of Minnesota Vikings cornerback Khyree Jackson, we now have more details regarding the circumstances of his tragic passing.

According to the Maryland State Police, the 24-year-old Jackson, Isaiah Hazel and Anthony Lytton Jr. were in a maroon Dodge Charger on Route 4/Pennsylvania Avenue in Prince George’s County at 3:14 a.m. on Saturday when the vehicle was struck a silver Infiniti attempted to change lanes while driving at a high rate of speed. The Charger proceeded to travel off the right side of the roadway and struck multiple tree stumps before coming to a rest. The silver Infiniti also struck a Chevrolet Impala.

Hazel, who was driving the Charger, and Jackson, who was in the front passenger seat at the time of the accident, were both pronounced dead at the scene. Lytton was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Neither the female driver of the Infiniti nor her two passengers were injured in the incident. The driver of the Impala was also uninjured and refused medical treatment at the scene.

Investigators believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

According to reports, Jackson, Hazel and Lytton were teammates at Dr. Henry Wise High School. Jackson went on to spend time at Alabama and Oregon during his college career, with the Vikings selecting the 2023 first-team All-Pac-12 selection in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
