Penn State’s recruiting class in 2025 gets a boost with Arrington’s addition. The legacy recruit made the easy decision to attend PSU, where he’ll hope to follow in his father’s accomplished footsteps.
When he attended Penn State, LaVar was a great linebacker. Attending “Linebacker U,” was a consensus All-American and won the Co-Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year award in 1998. Arrington also won the Butkus Award, the Bednarik Award, and the Jack Lambert Trophy.
PSU’s recruiting class ranks 13th in the nation and third in the Big Ten behind the vaunted Ohio State Buckeyes and the Oregon Ducks, newcomers to the conference beginning Fall 2024. Their class is now up to 21 commits in 2025 after Arrington’s commitment on Thursday. The team’s blue-chip ratio is at 48 percent.
