Disgraced former Penn State Nittany Lions football coach Jerry Sandusky is currently serving 30 to 60 years in prison for being found guilty in 2012 of sexually abusing ten boys. This week, he broke his silence for the first time in more than a decade as he continues to insist that he did nothing wrong and instead blame his accusers.
In a recent interview with The Daily Mail, Jerry Sandusky denied all wrongdoing despite his conviction, instead blaming his accusers for “taking an easy road.”
“I never ever in my life ever thought about molesting anybody,” Sandusky told the Daily Mail. “I was accused of heinous crimes, which I’ve never committed. My wife was my only partner in sex and that was after marriage.”
Sandusky went on to claim that the victims were in the wrong for accusing him, saying they “ought to think about what they’ve done.”
“I feel that they’ve made some decisions, they had a chance to do it the hard way, making an effort in school, studying, working,” he told DailyMail.com. “They turned that down for an easy road with allegations and to make millions of dollars – that’s not going to bring them happiness.
“That’s very unfortunate for them. I don’t know that much about how they’re living or whatever. But maybe they ought to think about what they’ve done. And all the people who have been hurt.”
Sandusky is serving his sentence at the Laurel Highlands State Correctional Institution in Somerset, Pennsylvania.
