During Tuesday night’s 88-75 loss against the New York Liberty on Tuesday night, Chicago Sky Angel Reese was ejected from the game after arguing with referees late in the contest. And one of her teammates does not seem all that happy with Reese’s lack of composure at the end of the game.
With 2:31 remaining in the game, Angel Reese was suddenly ejected from the game with two technical fouls after an interaction with a referee After the game, lead official Maj Forsberg told reporters that Reese received the technical fouls for “disrespectfully addressing” the official and then for “waving her hand in dismissal.”
Chicago Sky teammate Marina Mabrey was asked about the situation after the game and she made it clear that she thinks that Reese needs to learn how to have more composure in situations like that.
“She got two techs, she said something to the ref,” Mabrey said according to ESPN. “Whatever he felt like was the correct call is what he made. It’s more about composure for us in our young years in the WNBA. You’ve got to get to know refs and how they respond to things.”
After picking up her fourth technical foul on the season, Reese is now subject to a $400 fine from the WNBA.
