On Sunday, Chase Winovich re-shared a video on social media that suggested the collapse of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001 was not purely the result of the terrorists who flew the planes into the sides of the buildings, but as a result of a controlled demolition.
“Once people finally realize this was a lie then the whole house of cards will fall,” Winovich said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Winovich went on to share two other videos on the matter and urged people to “please watch these before responding.”
These are not the only conspiracy theories that Winovich has shared on social media. He has also made many posts speaking out against putting fluoride in water and speaking out against the COVID-19 vaccine.
Winovich played for Michigan from 2014 to 2018. He was selected by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. After bouncing around the league, he retired from football following the 2023 season.
