Over the past several years, Taysom Hill has been a sort of do-it-al offensive weapon for the New Orleans Saints, and it sounds like new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is still finding new ways to incorporate Hill into the offense.
This offseason, Taysom Hill has spent time at running back, fullback, outside receiver, slot receiver, H-back and tight end for the Saints as they try to carve out a role for him. But one significant change from previous seasons is that Hill has not been working out with the quarterbacks.
“It’s been a lot of fun,” Hill said according to Nola.com. “It’s weird to say after seven years of doing what I’ve been doing that I’m being asked to do things I’ve never done before. That is exciting to me, and it’s challenging and I love to be challenged like that. I’m grateful for those guys creating unique and fun opportunities for me.”
It seems like the team is committed to using Hill however they feel that it can help them win games, but it doesn’t sound likely that he’ll be used all that much as a quarterback this upcoming season. Regardless, it will be interesting to see how he performs and how he is able to help the team.
