The New York Giants made it very clear throughout the pre-draft process that they were interested in possibly selecting a quarterback in the first round of the NFL Draft, meeting with several of the draft’s top quarterbacks. And it sounds like Daniel Jones was not a fan of that move from the Giants.
During a recent press conference, Daniel Jones expressed his displeasure with the Giants considering selecting a rookie quarterback in the first round of the draft.
“I wasn’t fired up about it,” Jones said according to Pro Football Talk. “It’s part of it at this level. What I can do is focus on myself, getting healthy and paying the best football I can play — that I know I’m capable of playing. That’s my job, that’s what I’m gonna do. . . . I’m always motivated. I consider myself a really driven guy and I’m always going to work as I hard as I possibly can. It’s part of it, but I’m fired up we got Malik and I’m looking forward to getting to work.”
Obviously, this admission from Jones led to a lot of reactions on social media.
Yeah. He’s not really good enough for anyone to care what he thinks about his team’s draft strategy.

Giants were outscored 64-3 in their first 2 home games last year
Historically bad offense
So Jones is lucky they drafted a wide out and are giving him another chance

Play better and they won't look for other QBs.

Of course not. He got paid either way.

Has Daniel Jones ever watched himself play?

Perhaps Daniel Jones should get better then.

The Giants ultimately decided to select wide receiver Malik Nabers instead, so Jones didn’t have to worry about it.
