New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury during his series with the team last year, ending his debut season with the Jets just a few plays into his first game. But it sounds like he is fully recovered from that injury and ready to once again serve as the team’s starting quarterback this offseason.
The New York Jets began organized team activities this week, and head coach Robert Saleh gave a pretty significant update on the status of Aaron Rodgers as the OTAs got underway, revealing that Rodgers is practicing with “no restrictions.”
“He looks good, man,” Saleh said according to SNY. “The arm talent, obviously, is still there. But it’s really just re-acclimating to everything. We’re trying a bunch of new stuff, too. Just trying to evolve within the offense.

Rodgers missed the entire remainder of the season following the injury to his Achilles in September. Though he did return to practice with the team back in November, he did not play as the team was eliminated from playoff contention by the time he reasonably could have even tried to return to the field.
We’ll have to see how Rodgers performs this season.
